I hope this message finds you well. We wanted to remind everyone working with ICBC clients of the importance of formal authorizations as required under the MSA. Last year, HMEPA collaborated with ICBC to develop a form that meets all MSA requirements. This form, known as CL779, can be used to ensure compliance.

Common practice has been to treat email replies as official approval, but they often don’t reference an amount or description of any sort; many of these emails simply say “Approved.” If you encounter any issues with the accuracy of approvals or payments, please do not hesitate to request an official approval using the CL779 form. This will help streamline the process and ensure that all necessary details are in place.
