BVROP is on the move with exciting outreach events! We’ve proudly attended Back to School Nights across our partnering districts—Chaffey Joint Union High School District, Chino Valley, Claremont, and Upland Unified School Districts—showcasing the exceptional opportunities our programs offer high school students. Thank you to our partnering districts for collaborating with us to spread BVROP awareness on your campuses! Together, we’re making a difference for our students!

Chaffey Joint Union High School District

I'm Angelina Montoya, and as a senior at Chaffey High School, I've had an incredible experience in the Medical Assisting Foundations class taught by Ms. Shylaine Roberts. This ROP class has prepared me for my future career by helping me build essential skills and knowledge I'll need in the medical field. I chose this course because I wanted to jumpstart my career path as I move into adulthood, and it's been amazing to learn not just about the job itself but also about handling real-life situations. I've realized that being a Medical Assistant requires responsibility, respect, and alertness, especially when caring for patients. I aim to keep developing my skills and eventually work in medicine, becoming a Nurse or an Ultrasound Technician. I plan to start at a community college for my general education before transferring to Cal State to earn my bachelor's degree. This ROP class has influenced my plans and given me the confidence to pursue my dreams in healthcare.

Chino Valley Unified School District

My name is Aidan Meyer, and I'm currently a senior at Ayala High School. I've had the amazing opportunity to take Instructor Michael Collins' Introduction to Engineering and Design course. I've really pushed myself to do well in my projects and assignments, and I'm proud of the cool ideas and 3D designs I've come up with. Throughout this class, I've learned how to give awesome presentations and build detailed models—skills I know will be important for my future. I'm planning to graduate this year and then head to a junior college to finish my prerequisites because I'm excited about both computer science and engineering. Ultimately, I hope to combine these passions to innovate and solve real-world problems in the technology industry.

Claremont Unified School District

My name is Kori Epling, and I’m a senior at Claremont High School. I enrolled in the Sports Medicine ROP class taught by Jonathan Snapp. I was initially drawn to this class because I wanted to explore the sports medicine field and potentially pursue a career as a Physical Therapist. I was also eager to learn valuable life skills that would help me assist others daily. My experience in the class has been great and has exceeded my expectations. I’ve learned about different types of ankle rotations and the injuries that can happen with each movement, which has been fascinating. This class stands out from my other high school classes because it’s hands-on and directly relates to my career interests, allowing me to explore various paths in sports medicine, like athletic training and surgery. After high school, I hope to attend an out-of-state four-year university to study Kinesiology, ultimately aiming to become an outpatient Rehab Physical Therapist. I also plan to participate in sports by cheering in college and helping athletes with recovery.

Upland Unified School District

I’m Ben Diaz, a Upland High School senior taking the Stage Technology and Design ROP class with Mr. Parker Distelrath. I chose this class because I’ve always been passionate about theater and wanted to dive deeper into the behind-the-scenes work that makes everything happen. I’d recommend this class to other students because it’s full of hands-on learning and helps you build valuable skills in the entertainment industry. One of the most incredible things I’ve learned is how to program lights for our shows. This not only makes the productions look fantastic, but it’s also helped me step up my game in our show crew. I’ve grown in confidence from this class, and I’m excited about my future.
